I am beginning to work more figuratively again on a new series. The inspiration for this comes from the marvelous painter Victoria Crowe, although I've yet to see he paintings in the flesh and the Giotto frescoes in Assisi which I was fortunate enough to see before the earthquake and the gift from a friend of a book about the colour Blue. The paintings also begin to explore and draw on feelings of personal loss and a grief journey - I lost my husband two years ago.

Along with the making of this series I am looking forward to working with the ceramicist Imogen Bellotti; we will be holding an Open studio together here in my Cambridge studio during the last two weekends in July.

I continue to work with Artiq - the fast growing consultancy which has just moved into new offices in Whitechapel. They are keeping me very busy
